Radical Roots

Two Hartford museums are hosting exhibitions that showcase Connecticut's role in American history and art. The Wadsworth Atheneum's Radical Roots exhibition runs through September 27 and focuses on Connecticut ties to the semiquincentennial of America's founding and the 200th birthday of Frederic Church, a Hartford-born artist. The Connecticut Museum of Culture & History's Rebellious exhibition runs through November 1 and explores Connecticut's role in dissent and activism.
