52 Years of Heartbreak

Author and sports fan William Trowbridge will explore the games, plays, and decisions that broke Cleveland fans' hearts — and ultimately shaped the city's identity. Trowbridge will walk through the infamous moments that defined generations of Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fans: Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, The Move, The Mesa, The Decision — and the night it all finally ended. Drawing on his nine-volume series — including Ten Cent Beer Night and the series flagship Cursed No More — the talk blends historical storytelling with audience participation, inviting attendees to share what they remember and what these moments meant to them personally. Part sports history, part shared memory, part Cleveland therapy session. A book signing will follow the program.
