Arbor Day Celebration

Carbondale celebrates its 45th consecutive year as a Tree City USA community with an Arbor Day event. The city's forestry division will plant a swamp white oak in honor of Mayor Carolin Harvey, and the Daniel H. Brush Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will plant a Jefferson elm to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary. When: Friday, April 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
