Trip to The Wild Mile

Come explore one of Chicago's coolest hidden gems: a floating eco-park right on the Chicago River! The Wild Mile combines urban nature, habitat restoration, and public green space in a way that's unlike anywhere else in the city. We'll walk through floating gardens filled with native Illinois plants, learn how wildlife is returning to the river, and see how innovative environmental projects are helping make Chicago more sustainable. Meet us at Sheffield's Coffee in the Student Center at 1:00 PM. We'll head out at 1:15 PM for the 2:00 PM tour. If it's easier, you're welcome to meet us at the Wild Mile around 1:45 PM. If you have trouble finding it, it is behind the REI Co-op store. Bring and friend, take pictures, and enjoy the afternoon!
