Sunflower Stretch: Final Kansas Stop of the American Discovery 250 Relay

Join Mayor Marc Elkins and the Leawood Historic Commission to welcome participants completing the 575-mile Sunflower Stretch across Kansas. The American Discovery 250 Relay carries a replica of the Declaration of Independence as part of a 6,800-mile journey commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Following remarks, the public can walk alongside the relay through Leawood City Park toward its handoff in Kansas City, Missouri. Trail snacks provided.
