Coding Club: Botter Challenge

Ready, set, code! Coding Club is your chance to experiment, create, and see what you can make with code. Learn the basics through guided, hands-on challenges, then put your own ideas to work as you build games, animations, and other digital creations. No coding wizardry required! We’ll help you get started and troubleshoot along the way while leaving plenty of room to make each project your own. This challenge: Botter 🤖🚦 Welcome to Planet Fiero, where apparently crossing the street is an extreme sport. For six Mondays, we’ll take on Fiero Code’s Botter Challenge and build our own Frogger -style games using Code Blocks. Your mission? Get your character safely across the street while dodging cars, rogue robots, and whatever other obstacles you decide to send their way. Week by week, you’ll learn new coding skills and add more to your game, from custom characters and scenery to increasingly tricky levels, sounds, and surprises. Make it weird, make it challenging, and most importantly, make it yours! Our six-week Coding Club wraps up November 9th, but the Botter Challenge continues through November 30th , giving you extra time to put the finishing touches on your project before submitting it for a chance to win prizes including drones, game controllers, and even $150 Amazon gift cards. For ages 10 and up. Just drop in! Space and personalized assistance will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Call Tyler at 543-7675 ext. 2102 or e-mail [email protected] .
