A Weekend of Holy Expectation

At the crossroads of biblical promise and Prairie faith, Winnipeg's The Way Tabernacle Ministry prepares for a three-day gathering built on Isaiah's ancient cry that salvation is on its way.

A Weekend of Holy Expectation

From Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, 2026, The Way Tabernacle Ministry Inc. will gather for its fifth annual crusade at 6 Dunraven Avenue in Winnipeg. The three-day meeting will include praise and worship, Bible teaching, prayer, and communal worship. The theme is drawn from Isaiah: "Behold, thy salvation cometh."

The theme is taken from Isaiah 62:1–12, a passage that speaks of restoration and hope. For the congregation, the promise of salvation is not ancient history but living hope, and the annual crusade is the season when that hope is proclaimed aloud in evening services and afternoon gatherings, in song and sermon and shared prayer.

The Way Tabernacle Ministry was incorporated as a federal not-for-profit corporation on March 17, 2019, under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, with its registered office at 1098 Winnipeg Avenue. Its director, Azariah Francis, whose listed address is 175 Egesz Street, serves as the public contact for the crusade, reachable by phone at (204) 995-3255 or by email at [email protected]. In just a handful of years, the ministry has established an annual rhythm of revival that now reaches its fifth iteration.

The schedule for this year's gathering is: Friday evening at 7:00 PM for Praise & Worship; Saturday at 11:00 AM for Bible Teaching & Prayer, followed by an Evening service at 6:00 PM; and Sunday from Noon to 2:00 PM for a Day service.

For those who attend, the weekend will be an opportunity to step out of ordinary time. The services will follow a familiar yet sacred choreography: the opening chords of praise and worship, the reading of scripture, the teaching that seeks to illuminate the text, the prayers that rise for individuals and for the community, and the fellowship that extends after the final amen. The theme verse will be unpacked across the three days, and the phrase "thy salvation cometh" will be heard again and again, each time perhaps with a deeper resonance.
