Celebrate Earth Day by a canoeing cleanup in the French Broad River. Join Buncombe County Parks & Recreation and MountainTrue for an Earth Day River Clean-Up from Bent Creek River Park to Hominy Creek River Park! All participants will be in canoes. Previous canoe experience is recommended but not required. The trip will be approximately 6 miles. Participants should bring lunch, water bottle, snacks, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. When: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
