Research Up Close Lab Tour

Tour the Constructed Facilities Lab, a civil engineering paradise where concrete bends, metal freezes and earthquakes are an everyday occurrence. CFL researchers will show their coolest toys and explain the importance of their research and its impact on the world. This is an educational experience, but it is also an entertaining peek into one of the most hands-on and immediately recognizable research experiences on campus. Their machines might be complicated, but when you get to watch a decommissioned bridge pillar break under a shake test, it is as fascinating to watch as it is to instantly understand why it matters.
