Mechanical Street Cleaning Program

The Mechanical Street Cleaning Program returns next week as part of the city's plan to reduce trash and litter in the most vulnerable communities. The program is a hybrid of mechanical sweeping, sidewalk litter and trash removal and trash compactor removal. It will run Monday through Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in various areas of Philadelphia. When: Monday, April 6, 2026 at 9:00 AM - Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT
