Banned Books Loteria Workshop

Celebrate Banned Books Week and Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own banned books-themed Lotería set! Learn about banned and challenged books, the importance of intellectual freedom, and the cultural significance of the traditional Mexican game of Lotería. Patrons will create a traditional tabla and matching deck of cards using images inspired by frequently challenged books to take home and play with family and friends. All supplies will be provided. Explore the freedom to read while celebrating literature, culture, and creativity through this unique hands-on workshop.
