Annual Barn Dance

Dance to the old-time tunes of Scandinavian immigrants who settled in the Upper Midwest. Music provided by Beth Hoven Rotto of Foot-Notes (Decorah, IA) and the ScandiAm Jam of Madison. This fall dance has become a beloved annual fall event, growing out of Rotto's Folk Music Residency at UW in 2022. Come dance to the tunes transcribed from the archives at Mills Music Library and be part of the community that is keeping these traditions alive in the Upper Midwest!
